In our continued search for the Fountain of Youth, the key to our potential success is reversing the cause of wrinkles. Matrixyl, a portion of the naturally produced collagen molecule, was developed in the French laboratories of Sederma, where it was shown to stimulate collagen and fibroblasts, both of which are normally lost in the aging process. In clinical studies, after four months of daily use, Matrixyl has been shown to improve the skin’s appearance, decrease wrinkles, and soften the skin’s texture. Moreover, Matrixyl has proved equal to or more effective as an anti-aging indredient than Vitamin A, growth factors, Vitamin C and Antioxidants.

Often people complain that while using Renova, retinol, glycolic acid, or Vitamin C creams, their skin becomes irritated. Matrixyl is compatible with most sensitive skin types and because it is a protein, it maintains the added benefit that it is an excellent humectant, helping the skin to lock in moisture. Up until recently, Matrixyl could only be found in the commercially available products, Oil of Olay Regenerist and Stri-Vectin.
